Introduction…
Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ Head Office has an opportunity available for a Cash Office Auditor to join the team. This person will be responsible for and be required to travel between the assigned stores in their region. The region may consist of majority stores in the Gauteng province as well as possible stores in other provinces. The position will include conducting cash office audits, ensuring compliance with internal and legal requirements as well as examining and reporting on records.
Minimum Requirements…
Essential:

Grade 12 / Matric
Retail cash office and auditing experience
Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
Ability and willingness to travel in and around Gauteng on a daily basis as well as occasional travel to other provinces
Computer literate in Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Clear criminal and credit record

Advantageous:

Experience in the retail banking or auditing sector
Tertiary qualification in auditing or related field
Supervisor or team leader experience
SAP experience
Unisolv experience
Job Specification…
Evaluate internal accounting controls, prepare and submit reports.
Ensure accurate petty cash and change float reconciliation for the assigned region.
Develop strong internal controls for payment collections at the payment receipt location level and safeguarding against loss.
Ensure accurate audit and checking of till runs, Petty Cash systems and expenditure.
Issue established internal reports subsequent to field visits or other agreed-upon reports on a timely basis.
Identify instances of infrequently occurring transactions or events which arise during the course of the audit.
Obtaining, analysing and evaluating accounting documentation and reports.
Implement effective document control including but not limited to float, petty cash, cash on hand and daily spot checks.
Accurately file documentation.
Prepare and present reports that reflect audit results and document process.
Assist in the preparation of a concise and informative audit report to effectively communicate the findings and recommendations to the Director.
Develop workable recommendations for improvement.
